Hi Alice, I read this when it first appeared in Magnets and Ladders, but it was refreshing to read it again. I’ve never been much of a fan of toast with grape jelly or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but I remember drinking Welch’s grape juice as a kid, and I started drinking it regularly a couple of years ago when I was found to have high blood pressure. My next door neighbor swears by it as a means of lowering blood pressure. I don’t know if it’s that or the medication I’m taking, but my blood pressure is down where it needs to be.
Mmmm! Sweet memories! 🙂

This certainly brought back memories of my grandfather’s arbors and vines in nearby Universal. I am proud to say that my brother, Pete, has cultivated his own small arbor at his home in Terre Haute, trying to take carry on this legacy. The way he had tied up his vines even earned the approval of our mutual friend, Mary Fornero !
